China-Arab States Expo, approved by the State Council of China, is an international expo at the national-level jointly sponsored by Ministry of Commerce of China, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. China-Arab States Expo integrates high-level dialogue, policy exchange, economic and trade cooperation and other functions as a whole, aiming at carrying forward China-Arab States friendship, deepening cooperation and promoting common development.
In January 2016, Chinese President Xi Jinping stated in his speech at the Arab League headquarters: "China-Arab States Expo has become an important platform for China and Arab States to jointly build the Belt and Road."
Since 2010, Ningxia has successfully held three sessions of China-Arab Economic Trade Cooperation Forum and four sessions of China-Arab States Expo, producing broad and profound impact on the international arena, and has been well-received by Belt and Road cooperation partner countries including Arab States. During four sessions China-Arab States Expo, 21 Chinese and overseas dignitaries, 283 senior government officials, more than 5000 representatives of large and medium-sized enterprises and financial institutions, nearly 40 thousand exhibitors and purchasers from 112 countries, regions and international organizations attended. It has made positive contributions on promoting pragmatic cooperation between China and Arab States.
The fifth China-Arab States Expo will be held from August 19 to 22, 2021 in Yinchuan, Ningxia. With online and offline activities, the Expo will consist of the Opening Ceremony & Business Summit, eight concurrent activities as well as six exhibitions focusing on clean energy, new materials, digital economy, modern agriculture, green food, healthcare. The Expo will launch relevant exhibitions, investment and trade promotion conferences to promote broad cooperation among the Belt and Road cooperation partner countries.
